HTC Hard reset
1. HTC SNAP- Pull out the battery to make sure phone is turned off.
- Press and hold the Volume Down button, the Green Send button and the Red End button at the same time.
- Phone will turn on – release the buttons
- When prompted press the volume up to confirm the hard reset
- To perform a Diamond 2 hard reset
1. With the device turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then briefly press the POWER button.
2. Continue pressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you see this message on the screen: - 3. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
4. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

Hard reset
You can also perform a hard reset (also known as a full reset). A hard reset should be performed only if a normal reset does not solve a system problem. After a hard reset, the device is restored to its default settings—the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on. Any programs you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on your device will be lost. Only Windows Mobile® software and other pre-installed programs will remain.
Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.
Important If Encrypt files placed on storage cards is or was enabled before, then backup all files from the storage card before using Clear Storage, performing a hard reset, or updating the ROM system software. Otherwise you will no longer be able to access the encrypted files on the storage card. Use ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center to transfer files between your storage card and computer. After the procedure, copy your files back to the storage card.
HTC Pharos P3470 Hard Reset
The SOFT keys
- Remove the back cover.
- Press and hold the SOFT keys, then use the stylus to press the RESET button, located below the battery compartment.
- Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the SOFT keys until you see this message on the screen.
- Release the SOFT keys, then press TALK/SEND to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
HTC Touch Pro hard reset
1. Pull out the stylus.
2. Use the stylus tip to press the RESET button located at the bottom of the device. Your device restarts and displays the Home screen.

Clear Storage
You can also use Clear Storage to reset your device back to factory default settings.
1. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap All Settings.
2. On the System tab, tap Clear Storage.
3. Enter “1234” and then tap Yes.

To perform a hard reset
- Press and hold the left SOFT KEY and the right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the middle left side of your device.
- Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two SOFT KEYs until you see the following message on the screen: This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press Send to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.
- Release the two SOFT KEYs, and then press the button on your device. Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.
HTC S740 Phone - Hard reset
To reset your HTC Rose S740 phone
1. Click Start > Expert > Clear Storage.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the phone. The phone will restart after it has been reset.

Resetting your phone will remove all the data from its memory and restore the device back to the factory default settings. Go to Start > All Programs > More > Accessories > Clear Storage and input "1234". |
HTC Touch 2 hard reset
To perform a hard reset
1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it. You will then see this message on the screen.
2. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

You can also perform a hard reset (also known as a full reset). A hard

To perform a clear storage
1. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap Security > Factory reset.
2. Enter “1234 ” and then tap Yes.
